Tarot and vision boards are powerful tools for self-discovery and manifestation—and when used together, they can help align your intuition with your intentions to bring your dreams to life.
Tarot cards. For me, they’re like a super insightful mirror, reflecting back your current energy, potential obstacles, and the best path forward. I use them when I feel stuck, confused, or just need a little guidance. Like, What’s blocking me from feeling more confident? The cards give me these amazing insights, and it’s helped me a lot.
And vision boards, a vision board is a collage of images, words, and quotes that represent your goals and dreams. Think of it as a visual roadmap of where you want to go in life.
See, I’ve got travel pictures, because I really want to travel through Europe someday. Then there’s stuff about cruise boats, since I want to take me family on a big cruise. And affirmations like i am worthy and I am creative.

You can make a physical vision board, like this one, with magazines, scissors and glue – which is really fun and hands-on. Or, you can create a digital one using apps like Canva or Pinterest. It’s totally up to you!
So how does it all help? Well, the vision boards work with manifestation. When you constantly surround yourself with images of your desires, it keeps them top of mind. It helps you visualize achieving them, which makes you more likely to take action towards your goals. It’s like, you’re programming your brain for success!
But you can use your Tarot reading to inform your vision board!
Why Tarot and Vision Boards Work So Well Together
Tarot cards can help you figure out what you really want, and what’s maybe holding you back. The cards kinda nudged you to rediscover different part of yourself or what you are missing.
So, that’s where the Vision Board comes in. Think of it as your dreams, but, like, real. It’s a collage of images, words, quotes, anything that represents your goals and dreams.
Once you have a better idea of what you want, thanks to your Tarot reading, your Vision Board is like the physical reminder. You put it somewhere you’ll see it every day – your bedroom wall, your phone background, wherever!
Tarot helps you figure out your true goals, even the ones you’ve been ignoring. It can reveal hidden blocks that are stopping you from achieving your desired life. Then, your Vision Board takes those goals and makes them solid. Looking at it every day keeps you motivated and focused. Aligning your intuition with your intentions is key!
Manifesting Your Best Life
So, how do we do it? Let’s get into the nitty-gritty. Here’s my step-by-step guide on how to use tarot to create an awesome, powerful vision board:

Step 1: Clear your Space and Intention
Find a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed. Light a candle if you want, put on some chill music, whatever gets you in the zone. The key is to calm your mind and connect with yourself. Think about why you’re doing this. What are you hoping to achieve? Are you looking for more love in your life? A killer summer job? A boost in your creative expression? Define what you want to focus on. This is your intention. Write it down!
Step 2: Pull Cards for Different Areas of Your Life
Decide on the areas of your life you want to explore. I usually focus on four key areas: Love/Relationships, Career/School, Personal Growth, and overall Well-being. Then, for each area, shuffle your tarot deck and pull a card. Don’t overthink it! Just let your intuition guide you.
Let’s say for Love/Relationships, you pull the Two of Cups. For Career/School, you get the Ace of Pentacles. For Personal Growth, the Eight of Wands. And for Well-being, you get the Queen of Pentacles. See? Each card is so different.
Step 3: Journal and Reflect
Spend some time looking at each card. What images jump out at you? What emotions do you feel? Grab a notebook and write down your thoughts and interpretations. Don’t worry about being right or wrong. Trust your intuition.
For example, the Two of Cups (Love/Relationships) might suggest a balanced and harmonious relationship, or the potential for new connections. The Ace of Pentacles (Career/School) could signify new opportunities and financial stability. The Eight of Wands (Personal Growth) is saying go for it! and follow your momentum. The Queen of Pentacles (Well-being) means to nurture and ground yourself.

Step 4: Choose Visuals, Words, and Symbols Inspired by Your Reading
Based on your tarot readings and your journal reflections, start gathering images, words, and symbols that resonate with you. This could involve searching magazines, printing pictures from the internet, doodling, or even just writing down inspiring quotes.
If the Two of Cups came up for Love, maybe you’ll find images of couples connecting and holding hands, or maybe an image of a peaceful sunset. If the Ace of Pentacles came up for Career, maybe start clipping words like opportunity, success, or growth. It’s all about finding things that visually represent the energy and meaning of the cards.
Step 5: Create Your Board with Focused Energy and Intention
Finally, it’s time to create your vision board! Arrange your images, words, and symbols on a piece of cardboard or a large sheet of paper. Don’t stress about making it perfect. Just let your creativity flow and trust your instincts. As you glue everything down, visualize your goals coming to fruition. Feel the emotions of already achieving them. Infuse your board with positive energy and intention.
And there you have it! Your very own tarot-inspired vision board! Now, find a place where you’ll see it every day. Look at it often, visualize your goals, and let it inspire you to take action.
Spreads to help
Let’s try a few simple tarot spreads to get the ball rolling. First, a classic: the three-card spread! I use this one all the time.

3 Card spread
Okay, so card one represents the Past Focus. What have you learned from past experiences that you can bring to your future? The next card is Present Focus. Where are you at right now? And the last card is Future Focus. Where do you want to be? What are you working towards?
Let’s say, for example, the Future Focus card is the Ace of Cups – new beginnings, love, and emotional fulfillment. On my vision board, I might include images of happy couples, friends laughing, or anything that represents deep connection and joy. See how it connects?
5 Card spread
Here’s another one: the five-card spread! This goes a little deeper.
Okay, so we’ve got: Desire – What do you really really want? Challenge – What’s standing in your way? Action – What steps can you take to overcome those obstacles? Guidance – What advice does the universe have for you? And finally, Outcome – What’s the most likely result if you follow the guidance and take action?
This spread is awesome for figuring out what limiting beliefs might be holding you back. Knowing your Challenge card is key to addressing it head-on!
And if you’re feeling ambitious, you can even do a year-ahead spread! This is a bigger spread, using one card for each month of the year. It’s perfect for planning out long-term goals and creating a vision board that supports you every step of the way.
The best part about combining tarot and vision boards is that it makes the whole process so much more personal and meaningful. It’s not just about pretty pictures, it’s about connecting with your intuition, clarifying your goals, and creating a visual representation of your dream life.
Tips
Okay, how do we make the magic of tarot and vision boards come together?
- First: Use tarot to define your goals, and use what you get to create the vision board.
- Second: The vision board is a physical representation of that reading, and seeing it every day helps!
- Third: You can use Tarot monthly! Check in with your board! Use it to realign with your vision!
But, okay, so how do you keep things from growing stale? That’s simple: keep the energy alive!

- First, put your board where you see it often, the more you see, the better the manifestation!
- Second, use tarot monthly to check in and realign your vision! When you focus on it this often, you see the changes in your life.
- Third, journal your progress, as well as any synchronicities! A lot of this is about awareness, and the more aware you are, the more you will get back!
So, that’s it! That’s how I use tarot and vision boards together to create a more awesome life. Try it out! Have fun with it! And remember, the most important thing is to believe in yourself and your dreams.
